Warning, known issues :
- when starting, the "space" key might not work. You can switch to another app and then return to your browser — this usually fixes it. Alternatively, you can click instead.
- the music stops after the first play 😞. To hear it in full, you'll need to play really well the first time 😉 ...or run around in circles and wait, (or click this link).

This is a minimal game where I focused on using just one key for driving.
Fiddling, coding, and polishing took about 14 hours.
Coding is my main skill, so no major difficulties here. The engine I used is my own, it’s called Explorersit's JavaScript + my libs (it's free). One of the reasons I entered this jam was to finally use my own engine, since I usually just build it for others. This was fun!

I wish I would have spent more time polishing the level generation, with Perlin noise or equivalent, instead of the too simple randomness we have here.

In term of art / aesthetic, I don't draw so I have to keep it minimalistic. Not sure about the 3D-like background effect.

I spent about an hour creating the music using Ableton Live, Native Instrument samples and a keyboard. With the deadline approaching, it was my first time having to rush a track.
Decisions had to be made quickly — something I’m not used to.
It was a tense but fun experience, and I want to do it again to get better with my software in such situations.

I spent another hour fiddling around, selecting and combining sound effects.

Thanks GMTK for pushing all of us to make new things !
